The Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Communities in Schools (CIS), is offering Dollar Days at several Landa Park attractions. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring a new school supplies item; in exchange they will gain

admission into the pools or the miniature golf course
for $1.00.

Texa Hunter Education Class

The City of New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) to host a Hunter Education Course on Sunday, August 13th, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., at the Fischer Park Nature Education Center.

New Braunfels in Stage 1 Drought Restrictions - From NBU

Summer heat and increased water usage have dropped the Edwards Aquifer below the trigger level of 660 feet, resulting in a return to Stage 1 drought restrictions for New Braunfels. The restrictions will go in effect starting Tuesday, July 11, 2017.

Public Library Partners to Pack the Bus

During the month of July, patrons with outstanding fines can reduce them by bringing in needed school supplies as a part of the Communities in Schools “Pack the Bus” annual school supply drive.

The Library will reduce overdue fines by $2 for every new school supply item
received. The donated supplies will be distributed by Communities in Schools(CIS) to students in need in Guadalupe and Comal counties.

2017 Concert in the Park Series Announced

The Parks and Recreation Department has announced the 2017 Summer Concerts in the Park schedule. Concerts in the Park is a summer concerts series held at the Landa Park Dance Slab on Thursday evenings through August 3rd. All shows are free to the public
